Maria Luisa Benavides, is owner of Piononos Inc. A wife and mother of two, her happiness and love for what she does can be seen through her creativity and work.
Since childhood, Maria Luisa liked to make desserts and in 2001 she enrolled at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale Culinary School. That was the beginning of Piononos: making desserts to sell them between friends and family… but soon thereafter, a couple of cafes placed regular orders and from that point forward, the business began to grow.
Her husband encouraged and supported her in the search for more places to sell her delicious creations, and Piononos became the dessert provider for several restaurants in Coral Gables, Brickell and Key Biscayne.
The catering orders also increased, and her Strawberry Pavlova became her signature dish and one that is sought after by all who order often from Piononos.
Maria Luisa’s joy for what she does, sets her apart from others who merely design cakes. To her, every cake is an adventure and every new client a learning experience. Piononos Inc. continues to grow and is ready to serve you great, sweet treats for the special events in your life.
